Facebook hires a BTech student for Rs. 1.34cr



Once again one of the giant name in social network has offered a huge package of Rs.1.34 cr. (i.e. $2,62,500 USD) to a final year student of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology(MNNIT), Allahabad. The name of the student has been witheld for security reasons.

He has already received his appointment letter and will join the Facebook Inc. in Menlo Park, California this October as a Software Engineer, after finishing his degree. 

The selection process was started in Onctor las year through email and then, he had gone through 9 telephonic interviews before being selected.

MNNIT director Prof. P. Chakravorty said the annual package bagged by the student reflected the quality of education being imparted.

This is a huge amount paid to any Indian student till date, before this, Facebook had offered several MTech and BTech students from IITs, for package in between rs. 40-70 lacs.
